F.A.Q. #2

Q. How do I use an 8-count sheet?

A. Cheerleading music is counted by 8-counts. Cheerleading routines are most commonly choreographed to counts – this ensures that cheerleaders performing the routine know what to do and when to perform it. 8-count sheets are essentially a map of your routine. This is a way to mark down everything that is happening (or at least the important things) so that your music producer can read it to create your music to match your routine. For example – if during the first 8-count of the routine a toe touch is performed, you would mark down “high v” on count 1, “swing” on count 3, “hit toe touch” on count 4, and so on.
